Torrance, CA - Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., announced that the all-new 2004 Prius and Camry Solara models will make their world debuts at press conferences held at the New York International Auto Show next month.

The Prius, which was the world's first mass-produced electric/gasoline hybrid vehicle, first went on sale in North America in July 2000. The 2004 model Prius will be larger and even more fuel efficient than its predecessor and will utilize an all-new hybrid system. The second-generation Prius will be unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday, April 16 at 1:40 PM EST.

When launched later this year, the 2004 Camry Solara coupe will be the most American Toyota to date. The all-new Solara was developed in the U.S. by Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Mich., styled by Calty Design Studio in Newport Beach, Calif., and will be built exclusively at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky in Georgetown. The 2004 Camry Solara will be unveiled at 9:00 AM EST on Thursday, April 17.
