Paris - Visionary in concept,
with a warm interior and a daring personality, Renault Twingo adds a touch
of exoticism to its range with the new Oasis limited edition. On sale in
France and most European countries from March, Twingo Oasis has a
distinctive appearance and an upgraded equipment level. Available with a
choice of two 1.2-litre engines - 60bhp or 16V 75bhp - and a manual or
robotized Quickshift 5 gearbox, Twingo Oasis is priced from €10,300,
representing a customer advantage of around 6%.
With over 2,000,000 models
built since its launch in 1993, Twingo confirmed its number one position
in 2002 in the small city car segment in France. 68,000 registrations in
France and 3.15% of the passenger car market for all brands combined put
Renault Twingo in first place ahead of the Citroën Saxo (43,158 units and
2.01%) and Peugeot 106 (20,156 units and 0.94%). In Europe, with some
139,000 units sold, Twingo is still ahead of the Ford Ka (134,854 units)
and MCC Smart (108,839 units).
